Whether you're new to amateur radio or consider yourself a borderline pro at this stage, you'll have likely heard of both dipole and halo loop antennas at some point. Our wide and comprehensive collection of products is designed to appeal to every kind of radio enthusiast, no matter where you're at in your journey.

We have antennas that vary by frequency range and gain. At Moonraker, we believe every radio enthusiast should have the opportunity to create a truly unique build with various components rather than following something too formulaic. That's why we provide our customers with multiple options, so you can truly tailor your experience with the tech you value the most.

What are Dipole & Halo Loop Antennas?

A dipole antenna is the most widely used class of antenna, so if you've read up on amateur radio systems before, then you'll have undoubtedly heard of it. They consist of two identical conductive elements, usually either wires or poles, which is where the name dipole comes from (di meaning two).

A halo loop antenna, on the other hand, is a type of dipole antenna that’s been bent into a circle rather than retaining its original shape. The two ends of the circle don't touch, and this spacing can be adjusted to alter the antenna's resonant frequency.

Both are great additions to your amateur radio setup, and it's worth experimenting with both to see which yields the best results.
