Yaesu MEK-2 - Microphone Extension Kit

The MEK-2 is a junction box for use with the Yaesu Transceivers, which allows connecting a variety of microphones with a round 8-pin plug to a transceiver with a modular plug. Will work with the following:

• FT-8900
• FT-8800

Note: Not all microphones with 8-pin plugs can be used with this kit, including some Yaesu mobile microphones, as well as some other mobile microphones

Key Features/Specifications:

• Pin 1 - UP - Connecting this pin to GND (pin 4) increases the memory or frequency by 1 step
• Pin 2 - 9V - +9V power, supplied from the transceiver for the microphone
• Pin 3 - DWN - Connecting this pin to GND (pin 4) decreases the memory or frequency by 1 step
• Pin 4 - GND - Ground
• Pin 5 - ACC - Accessory
• Pin 6 - PTT - Connecting this pin to GND (oin 4) keys the transmitter
• Pin 7 - GND - Ground
• Pin 8 - MIC - Transmit audio input for the transceiver
