The World Radiosport Team Championship 2026 has delivered an exciting weekend of competition, with 50 of the world's best amateur radio teams battling it out from carefully matched portable stations across East Anglia.

The preliminary leaderboard gives us our first indication of the leading teams, although the results remain subject to final checking and adjudication.

First and foremost, congratulations to all 50 teams, their referees, volunteers and organisers who made WRTC 2026 such an outstanding success.

Qualifying for WRTC is an achievement in itself. Each team earned its place through outstanding performances in major international contests, making this one of the toughest and most prestigious events in amateur radio.

A Fantastic Showcase for Amateur Radio

WRTC 2026 has demonstrated exactly why it is so often described as the Olympics of Amateur Radio.

Across the weekend, the event featured:

• Thousands of contacts across multiple bands

For many radio amateurs, this was also the first opportunity to follow WRTC through the World Radio League live scoreboard, watching the positions change as propagation, band conditions and operating strategy influenced the competition.
