RADAR - BIAS T 1090 MHz PRE AMPLIFIER

low-noise preamplifier that boosts the receive signal of the S/ADS mode B beacon used by aircraft on the 1090 MHz frequency. The frequency range starts at 1030 MHz and ends at 1090 MHz. The result is very good: low noise and a clear increase in signal. I used it with two Kinetics receivers and the results were as good as expected. However, as with all radio reception, remember to place the antenna as high as possible (if there are hills or houses nearby) and the preamp as close to the antenna as possible.

As I said before, you will notice a much cleaner and higher signal. In my case the s/meter scored 5/6 without the preamp and s9 with the preamp switched on on strong signals, while I picked up signals with the preamp that were undetectable without the preamp. It has a waterproof ABS case for mounting on poles with a maximum diameter of 44 mm.
